Dr. George Gurdock is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is currently the Medical Director for Good Samaritan Medical Center’s Emergency Department. Dr. Gurdock completed his undergraduate education at Wilkes University and went on to receive his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his emergency medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Gurdock moved to South Florida in 2004 after completion of his Residency and has been practicing at Good Samaritan since 2011. In addition to being Good Samaritans’s ER Medical Director, Dr. Gurdock is also the Medical Director of their Chest Pain Center and is a member of their Medical Executive Committee. He is also a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and held a prior teaching affiliation with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Gurdock was the recipient of TeamHealth’s Medical Director of the Year Award in 2017 and currently lives in West Palm Beach with his wife, Dr. Mignon Metcalf, and their two children.
